All the parts mentioned in this subsection can be replaced on the engine installed on the vehicle. The location of the camshaft drive chain and all related parts is shown in fig. 95 a and 95 b. On fig. 96 shows the camshaft drive mechanism assembly.
The camshaft drive chain drives the camshaft sprocket, the fuel pump sprocket, and is itself driven by the crankshaft sprocket. The chain is supported by two slats - dampers. The chain tension is adjusted by means of a hydraulic tensioner located in the crankcase and acting on a chain tension shoe made of light metal.
The camshaft drive sprocket is fixed on the shaft with a key and secured with an M8 bolt.
The second small chain is for driving the oil pump. This chain is driven by the second crankshaft sprocket (a twin sprocket is installed on the crankshaft of the engine) and is equipped with its own tensioning device.
