2. Lower the rear axle of the car (only for vehicles with rear air springs (PR number CLO).
3. Set the body level control lever to passive mode (only for vehicles with rear air springs (PR number CLO).
4. Remove the rear hub protective cap.
5. Unscrew the central nut securing the drive shaft in the rear hub, for which follow these steps.
Removing the nut
5.1. Bend back the parts of the collar concave to fix the nut (shown by arrows in Fig. VN 4.041) and unscrew the nut (1). When loosening the nut, the wheel must be on the ground. Vehicle movement with loose nuts (1) not allowed.
Installing and tightening the nut
5.2. The nut is tightened in two stages according to the scheme: 165 Nm + 60°
Attention: always use a new nut for installation.
Nut fixation
5.3. Using a suitable tool, bend the collar (3) nuts (1) into the grooves of the slotted tip (4) external CV joint. Fixing (concave) part of the collar should fit snugly against the surface of the groove.
5.4. Put a reference mark on the nut and on the splined tip with paint.

6. Release the parking brake.
7. Remove the wheel.
8. Remove the rear axle final drive.
9. Remove the inner CV joint of the drive shaft using a mounting blade (1) from the final drive (see below for details).
10. Remove the outer CV joint from the rear arm hub (3).
11. Install in reverse order.
