1. Raise the car.
2. Illuminate the rubber of the cuffs with a lamp and check it for porosity and cracks. Replace cracked cuffs immediately.
3. If the cuff is pulled inward or damaged due to underpressure in the joint, it must be replaced immediately.
4. Look for visible traces of oil on and around the cuffs.
5. Check the tight fit of the clamping collars.
