Sequence of work
1. First loosen the union nut of the respective brake line. At the same time, make sure that the pipeline does not rotate while holding the hose on the flanges.
2. If the brake hose is additionally fixed to the body with a metal bracket that protects the hose from chafing, then do not forget to put it in place during assembly.
3. To disconnect the brake hose from the caliper, you first need to pinch it with a small clamp or a special clip. Do not pinch the hose too hard to avoid damaging it.
4. Loosen the fitting that secures the hose to the brake caliper. Remove the brake caliper and disconnect the hose from it. To prevent brake fluid from leaking out of the brake system, plug the hose with a stopper.
5. First connect the hose to the brake caliper with a torque of 18 Nm.
6. Then attach the new hose (brand name or equivalent) to the brake pipeline and tighten the threaded fastener to the brake pipeline to 15 Nm.
7. When installing, make sure that the brake hose is not twisted. Correct installation can be checked by a colored strip or rubber comb along the entire length of the hose.
8. On the front brake mechanism, secure the hose to the steering knuckle with a special clip. It also holds the brake pad wear sensor wire.
9. Bleed the brake system.
10. After finishing, be sure to check if the brake hose rubs against anything when the suspension is compressed or the steering is operated. Check again after some run.
