Diesel engine power system Mercedes E-Class (W210)

Fuel is pumped out of the fuel tank by the fuel pump. After that, it passes through the tank strainer, as well as coarse and fine filters in the engine. Depending on the ambient temperature, the fuel can be led through the heat exchanger before the fuel pump. From the pump, the fuel goes to the high pressure pump. A small part of the fuel flows back into the tank through the third filter fitting.
