Attention! Brake Assist cannot prevent the risk of loss of traction due to cornering and hydroplaning.
BAS contributes to the reduction of the braking distance during emergency braking of the car, and also ensures the completeness of the impact of the ABS, ASR and ESP systems.
When the foot brake pedal is depressed very quickly, the brake force is maximized. If there is a need for further braking of the car, do not loosen the pressure on the pedal. When the foot brake pedal is released, BAS is automatically disengaged.
When the on-board power supply voltage drops below 10 V, the BAS amplifier is switched off, - the corresponding control lamp lights up on the instrument panel (BAS, ASR and ESP systems use a common warning lamp - see Section Instrument cluster, meters and control lamps and indicator lights. Increasing the voltage level automatically normalizes the situation.
