- dOT 4 specification brake fluid.
Examination
The expansion tank 1 with brake fluid is located in the rear part of the engine compartment on the left side. It consists of two chambers, one chamber for each brake drive circuit (see illustration 23.0).

The tank is made of transparent material, which allows you to easily determine the brake fluid level at any time. A warning light on the instrument panel signals the driver when the brake fluid level drops below the MIN mark. Despite this, it is recommended to regularly visually check the brake fluid level in the tank.
The brake fluid level in the expansion tank with the cap closed should not be above mark 2 (MAX), but should not fall below mark 3 (MIN) (see illustration 23.0).
Fill the system only with brake fluid recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. Do not fill the system with brake fluid of other DOT specifications. If necessary, wipe the filler cap with a clean rag before removing.
Due to wear of the disc brake pads, a slight decrease in the brake fluid level in the expansion tank may occur. This is considered normal. However, if the brake fluid level drops significantly over a short period of time, this indicates a brake fluid leak. In this case, you should immediately find the leak.
For safety reasons, in such cases you should contact a workshop (service station) to check the entire brake system.
