Vehicles with engines 111.948 and 601.970
Removing
1. Disassemble the gearbox.
2. Remove the rotary seal 9 (see fig.6.21).

3. Remove locking pin 4.
4. Remove covers 7 and 8.
5. Remove the sleeve 3 bearing.
6. Remove the needle bearing 1 of the reverse gear shaft. To do this, if necessary, heat the gearbox housing to 80-100°C (see fig.6.22).

7. Remove oil lines 12 and 6.
8. Remove guide pin 13 using a punch. Heat the housing, if necessary, to approx. 80-100°C.
9. Remove the tapered roller bearing outer race 2.
10. Remove the transmission support 10.
Installation
11. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal. Install the needle bearing into the gearbox housing until it stops with a punch.
Vehicles with engine 611.980
Removing
12. Disassemble the gearbox.
13. Remove the rotating seal 1 (see fig.6.23).

14. Remove locking pin 2.
15. Remove oil lines 3 and 4.
16. Remove the needle bearing 5 of the reverse gear shaft (see fig.6.22).
17. Remove tapered roller bearings 7 and 8 by heating the housing, if necessary, to approximately 80-100°C.
18. Remove the tapered roller bearing outer race 6.
19. Remove the transmission support 10.
Installation
20. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
