Removing
1. Remove the air filter.
2. Remove cylinder head cover 1 (see fig.4.21).

3. Set the piston of the first cylinder to TDC. The marks on the camshaft and the first bearing cap must be aligned.
4. Mark the location of the timing chain 7 on the camshaft pulley 4 (arrows).
5. Install the blocking device 7 on the flywheel crown.
6. Remove chain tensioner 2.
7. Unscrew the bolt 12, remove the gasket 13 and the camshaft pulley 4 (see fig.4.22).

8. Loosen cover 5 of the main bearing of the camshaft and remove it. The order of easing of bolts of fastening of covers of radical bearings of a camshaft is specified on fig. 4.23. First you need to unscrew the bolts of fastening 1, 3 and 5 of the covers. Then it is necessary to unscrew the bolts of fastening 2 and 4 of the covers. The camshaft bearing caps are marked with the bearing number (see fig.4.24).

9. Remove the camshaft 6. Check the camshaft runout adjuster 14.
Installation
10. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal. Lubricate the camshaft 6 and install it in the cylinder head so that the TDC mark on the camshaft (arrow) was directed upward (see fig.4.22). The mark on the timing chain 3 must be aligned with the mark on the camshaft pulley 4. Before installing the cylinder head cover, make sure that the TDC mark on the camshaft and its pulley 4 match the mark on the timing chain 3. The camshaft bearing cap bolts are tightened in reverse order of weakening. The valve timing of the engine is given in table 4.1.
