Removal
1. Disconnect the flange from the front of the exhaust system or catalytic converter/manifold or turbocharger.
2. Disconnect the turbocharger 4 (see figure 4.11).

7. Air intake pipe.
3. Remove the air intake pipe 7 (only on engines 601.942).
4. Remove the exhaust manifold 2 (on engines 601.970) or collector 5 (on engines 601.942).
5. Check studs 6 and replace them if necessary.
Installation
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Replace gasket 1 and nuts 3.
