Removal
1. Remove the oil filler neck 1 (see figure 4.10).

2. Remove the mixing chamber 3.
3. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation tube 4 (only on engines 601.942).
4. Disconnect the intake manifold 2 from the clamps 11. Do not deform the fuel supply pipes.
5. Disconnect vacuum tube 12.
6. Unhook the accelerator cable 10.
7. Disconnect the cable from the accelerator pedal position sensor 5 (only on cars with automatic transmission).
8. Disconnect the connecting rod 16 of the high-pressure fuel pump from the lever 17.
9. Disconnect the connecting rod 14 of the Tempomat device from the return lever 15.
10. Disconnect the oil level indicator guide pipe 7 from the intake manifold 2.
11. Remove intake manifold 2 together with gasket and bracket 8.
12. Disconnect all controls from the intake manifold 2 (only when replacing it).
Installation
13. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Check that gasket 10 is installed correctly.
