Adjusting the CMP sensor using a blade type feeler gauge

Adjusting the CMP sensor using a blade type feeler gauge

1. The installation details of the ignition coils of the 612 series diesel engine are shown in the illustration, - do not forget to replace the sealing ring (11/1).

2. After replacing the CMP sensor (L5/1), it is necessary to set the camshaft clearance: turn the crankshaft so that the camshaft sprocket segment is opposite the sensor and, using a blade-type feeler gauge, measure the clearance between the sprocket segment and the sensor - the required value is 0.5 mm, if necessary, make the appropriate adjustment by selecting an adjusting shim (11/2): 0.1÷1.0 mm.
