Removal



1. Remove the cylinder head cover.

2. Set the piston of the first cylinder to TDC.

3. Mark the position of the timing chain 14 relative to the camshaft pulley 3 (arrow) (see figure 4.25). Remove the timing chain cover.

4. Remove the timing chain tensioner 6.

5. Unscrew bolt 1, remove gasket 2 and camshaft pulley 3. If necessary, you can use a punch to separate pulley 3 from camshaft 5.

6. Remove the generator drive belt.

7. Remove spring tension lever 8 and tensioner spring 7.

8. Remove the return roller 9.

9. Using puller 13, unscrew bolts 10, 11 and 12.

10. Remove sliding lever 4. Check for wear and replace if necessary.

Installation



11. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Before installing bolts 10 and 11, they must be lubricated with sealant.



12. Mark 14 on the timing chain must be aligned with mark 3 on the camshaft pulley.

13. Before installing the cylinder head cover, check the alignment of the TDC mark and the mark on the camshaft pulley in relation to the timing chain.
