Removing
Bolts of fastening of pulleys of a drive of auxiliary units
210 - Fan drive clutch pulley
273 - Water pump drive pulley
284 — Steering pump drive pulley
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Remove the air filter.
3. Turn away the bottom protective guard of the engine.
4. Remove the fan clutch.
5. Loosen the pulley bolts.
6. Remove the alternator drive belt.
7. Turn away bolts of fastening of pulleys (arrow) and remove the fan clutch pulleys (210), coolant pump (273) and power steering pump (284).
8. Remove the engine crankshaft pulley.
9. Open the radiator cap of the cooling system.
10. Mark the position of the camshaft sprockets relative to the timing chain.
11. Loosen and unscrew the bolts (3) And (4). Remove bracket (213). Remove the bolt (1) bracket mounting (213) to the combination bracket. Lubricate with sealant 002 989 45 20 the front and rear holes (arrow) bracket (213).
12. Unscrew the air supply pump from the bracket. 13. Turn away bolts (214) And (214a) and remove the fan bracket (217). Loosen the nut (99). Remove the TDC sensor (100) together with the wiring and secure it to the side.
14. Disconnect wires from the generator. Turn away bolts and remove the generator together with an arm.
15. Turn away bolts of fastening of a cover of a chain of a drive of GRM to the pallet.
16. Remove the timing chain cover together with the TDC sensor bracket
17. Wipe the sealing surfaces of the cylinder block and timing chain cover.
Installation
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal. The timing chain cover is mounted on two pins 6 mm long. Do not damage the pan gasket. First of all, tighten the bolts securing the timing chain cover to the sump.
