Power steering pump (on cars with engines 111.948 and 601.970)



Removal



1. Drain the fluid from the power steering pump reservoir 4 (see figure 8.6a, b).

2. Remove the radiator grille and high pressure pipe 1. On vehicles with engine 601.970, remove the pipe between the intercooler and the intake air duct.



3. Remove drain pipe 2.

4. Loosen the pulley 3 mounting bolts. On vehicles with engines 111.948, remove the air intake duct.

5. Remove the generator drive belt.

6. Remove the power steering pump pulley 3.

7. Remove the power steering pump 4 and drain the fluid from it.

Installation



8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Power steering pump (on cars with engine 104.900)



Removal



1. Remove the bumper 1 (see figure 8.6c).

1. Bumper,
2. Generator drive belt,
3. Delivery tube,
4. Power steering pump,
5. Drain pipe,
6. Bolt.


2. Remove the generator drive belt 2.

3. Drain the fluid from the system.

4. Unscrew bolt 3 securing the delivery pipe to the bracket.

5. Unscrew bolts 3 securing the delivery pipe to the power steering pump 4.

6. Unscrew bolts 6 securing power steering pump 4 to the bracket.

7. Unscrew drain pipe 5 from power steering pump 4.

8. Remove the power steering pump 4.

Installation



9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
