Front parking brake cable (parking system with drive lever)



Removal



1. Place the vehicle in the "Service Position".

2. Loosen the lever 1 of the parking brake system drive (see figure 9.14a).

1. Drive lever,
2. Adjusting bolt,
3. Front drive cable,
4. Clamp and finger,
5. Vinyl ring,
6. Rubber bushing,
7. Fuel tank,
8. Clamp,
9. Return spring,
10, 12. Bolts,
11. Clamp.


3. Loosen the front cable 3 by turning the adjusting bolt 2.

4. Remove the decorative cover of the drive lever 1.

5. Disconnect the clamp and pin 4 and remove the cable 3 from the bracket. Disconnect ring 5 from the cable guide in the direction of the arrow. Replace vinyl ring 5 if damaged.

6. Unscrew the lower heat shield.

7. Unscrew the right clamp 8 of the fuel tank 3 (from the exhaust pipe side).

8. Unhook the return spring 9.

9. Loosen bolt 10.

10. Unscrew bolt 12 securing bracket 11.

11. Unscrew bolt 10 and remove front cable 3 from the guide in bracket 11.

12. Remove the front cable 3.



Installation



13. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Adjust the parking brake system.

Front parking brake cable (pedal operated parking system)



Removal



1. Place the vehicle in the "Service Position".

2. Loosen the parking brake system.

3. Remove the left panel under the instrument panel.

4. Remove the left seat with the fastening.

5. Remove the left door molding.

6. Move the floor cover to the side.

7. Raise the car.

8. Loosen the front cable 2 by turning the adjusting bolt 8 (see figure 9.14b).

1. Bracket with pedal and release mechanism,
2. Front drive cable,
3. Rubber bushing,
4. Clamp for fastening to the body,
5. Nut,
6. Bolt M8x8,
7. Return lever,
8. Adjusting bolt,
9. Bolts.


9. Disconnect the drive cable from the pedal bracket.

10. Unscrew the cable mount clamps in the car interior.

11. Unscrew the lower heat shield of the car.

12. Loosen the fuel tank tension clamp (from the exhaust pipe side).

13. Disconnect the return spring from the automatic cable length compensator.



14. Loosen the bolt securing the cable to the tensioner and remove it.

15. Loosen the bolt and remove the cable from the automatic cable length compensator bracket.

16. Remove the front cable from underneath the vehicle.

Installation



17. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Adjust the parking brake system.
