Removal
1. Depending on the model, fold the rear seat forward or remove it, refer to the relevant section.
2. Remove the floor mat under the rear seat.
Note: The mat extends when the seat is folded forward under the backrest and rear door sill trims.
3. Remove the cover of the adjustment device.
4. Release the parking brake completely and loosen the cable tension, refer to Section Checking the brake system. Adjusting the parking brake.

5. Disconnect cables (1) and (2) from the adjusting device.
6. Compress the plastic strips (arrows in the illustration) at the end of the cable and disconnect the cables where they pass through the bottom of the body.

7. Disconnect the front cable from the parking brake pedal (1). Squeeze the plastic tabs at the end of the cable and pull the cable out of the holder (2) on the pedal.
8. Attach the auxiliary rope to the end of the front cable.
9. Mark the position of the rear wheels relative to the hubs with paint. This will allow you to install the balanced wheels in their original position during assembly. Loosen the wheel mounting bolts before jacking up the car. Raise the rear of the car, place it on stands and remove the rear wheels.
Attention! The operation of lifting and installing the car on stands is associated with danger! Therefore, before carrying out the operation, read the Section Jacking and towing Introduction to the manual.

10. Remove the rear brake caliper, refer to the relevant section.
11. Remove the rear brake disc, refer to the relevant section.
12. Remove the parking brake shoes, refer to the relevant section
13. Disconnect the rear cable from the parking drum brake release latch.
14. Loosen the bolts and remove the engine compartment cover, refer to Section Removal and installation the engine compartment cover from the bottom side.
15. Pull the cables out of the passages in the bottom, disconnect them from the holders and remove.
Installation
1. Attach the auxiliary rope to the end of the front cable. Pull the rope by the end of the rope through the holders and the passages in the bottom.
2. Route the rear cable through the holder and the passage in the bottom.
3. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
4. Install the rear wheels so that the marks made during removal match. Pre-lubricate the centering belt of the wheel disk on the hub with a thin layer of bearing grease. Do not lubricate the wheel mounting bolts. Replace rusty bolts. Tighten the bolts. Lower the car onto the wheels and tighten the bolts crosswise to 110 Nm.
5. Adjust the parking brake, refer to Section Checking the brake system. Adjusting the parking brake.
