11 - Clips
1. Remove the parking brake lever cover (5).
2. Remove the center console and left side trim panel (see chapter Body).
3. Loosen the adjusting nuts (38).
4. Remove parking brake shoes (see Section Replacing parking brake shoes).
5. Loosen the drive cable fixing fastener (2) to carrier plate (1).
6. Release the latches (A) cable attachments (2) to the bottom of the car.
7. Release the cables (2) from bushing (3) at the bottom.
8. release the cables (2) from the support bracket (4).
9. Thoroughly wipe all components and visually inspect their condition. Replace if necessary.
10. Installation is in reverse order - note the difference in the length of the cables. In order to facilitate the passage of cables (2) into the holes in the bushing (3) wash them with soapy water. Lubricate the threaded part of the fasteners for fastening the cables to the bottom with an anti-corrosion compound.
11. Finally, adjust the parking brake actuator (see Section Parking brake actuator adjustment).
