Front wheel brakes
Installation details of the front wheel brake fixed type caliper
5 - Brake line; 31 - Caliper; 35 - Bolts; S10 / 1 - Brake pad wear sensor of the left front wheel; S10/1x1 - Sensor connector
1. Disconnect from the caliper (31) brake line (5), - Seal the open end of the tube immediately.
2. Release from the terminal block (S10/1x1 or S10/2x1) pad wear sensor (S10/1 or S10/2).
3. Turn out a contact block (S10/1 or S10/2) from the caliper (31).
4. Unbolt the caliper (31) from the assembly of the steering knuckle.
5. Installation is in reverse order - do not forget to replace the micro-encapsulated bolts (35).
6. Finally, bleed the hydraulic circuit (see Section Bleeding the brake system) and check the proper functioning of the brakes.
Rear wheel brakes
Details of the rear wheel floating brake caliper installation (1 of 2)
1 - Brake hose; 2 - Caliper; 3 - Hidden microencapsulated bolts
Details of the rear wheel floating brake caliper installation (2 of 2)
4 - Piston; 5 - Bellow; 6 - Anchor bracket
1. Clamp and disconnect from the caliper (2) brake hose (1).
2. Separate the caliper (2) from anchor bracket (6), - prepare replacement hidden guide micro-encapsulated bolts (3).
3. Disconnect the brake pad wear sensor (installed only in the mechanism of the right rear wheel).
4. Using a suitable tool, press the piston into the cylinder (4), - get ready to collect the fluid displaced from the GTZ reservoir.
5. Clean the caliper with a special brush.
6. Check the caliper (2) for signs of leaks, check the condition of the piston boot (4). Defective Components (caliper / boot) replace.
7. Installation is in reverse order - do not forget to replace the micro-encapsulated bolts (3).
8. Finally, bleed the hydraulic path (see Section Bleeding the brake system) and check the proper functioning of the brakes.
