Raise the handbrake handle.
When the key is in position 2 in the ignition switch, the brake indicator light on the control panel lights up (brake functional control).
To release the parking brake, move the handle slightly, press the locking button, and then lower the handle all the way down. The brake indicator lamp on the instrument panel will go out.
