Parking Brake Shoe Installation Details

1. The details of the installation of the parking brake shoes are shown in the illustration to which all references in the text refer.

2. Remove the rear brake discs (see Section Removal and installation the brake disc).

3. Using the special tool (041), disconnect the tension springs (111).

4. Remove the anchor springs (107) and pins (106).

5. Remove the brake shoes (103) from the rear drive shaft flange (68).

Note: If the shoes (103) are burnt, they must be replaced together with the tension springs (111 and 112) and anchor elements (106 and 107).

When installing the shoes themselves, release the adjusting mechanism and make sure that the adjusting wheel (c) is turned downwards, make sure that the tension (111 and 112) and anchor (107) springs are connected correctly.
