Fuel Cooler Installation Details on 163.113 Models (612 series engine)


1. Fuel cooler installation details on 163.113 models (612 series engine) are shown in the illustration, to which all references found in the text refer.

2. Open the hood and fix it in a vertical position.

3. Remove the cylinder head cover trim panels.

4. Drain the coolant from the radiator.

5. Disconnect and plug the fuel supply hose (1) to the fuel cooler (5).

6. Disconnect the fuel drain hose (2) from the cooler and seal it immediately.

7. Disconnect the coolant drain hose (4) from the thermostat housing.

8. Unscrew the mounting bolts (7) and remove the fuel cooler assembly (5), disconnecting the coolant supply hose (3) from it.

9. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

10. Finally, start the engine and check the components of the engine fuel and cooling systems for signs of developing leaks.
