Note: All self-locking bolts and nuts must be replaced!


1. The details of the parking brake pedal installation are shown in the illustration to which all references in the text refer.

2. Pre-tension the slack adjuster (compensating lever) drive cable.

3. Remove the pedal assembly cover (71).

4. Remove the parking brake arming switch (S12).

5. Disconnect the cable (85) from the tension shackle on the pedal (75) and release it from the retainer using the special tool (043) - try not to drop the rubber ring (85c).

6. Loosen the bolt (72) and remove the pedal assembly (75).

Caution! Do not loosen the TORX head bolts on the back of the assembly!


7. Remove the bracket (77a) and disconnect the parking brake release cable (79) from the control lever (77), then disconnect the cable from the pedal assembly (75) using the tool (010) and remove it.

8. Installation is done in reverse order. Finally, unload the slack adjuster (compensation lever) and adjust the parking brake drive (see Section Adjusting the parking brake drive).
