1. Remove the lower instrument panel trim on the driver's side.

2. Release the parking brake and turn the cable adjuster to set it to a position that allows the cables to move as much as possible.

3. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the pedal arm, then release the cable housing from the pedal bracket (see picture).

4. Remove the bolts securing the parking brake pedal to the body panel.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the indicator lamp switch, then remove the parking brake cable from the pedal release lever and remove the pedal from under the dash.

Installation



1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Adjust the operation of the parking brake.
