Removal

When installing, extend the switch rod (2) to its maximum distance.

1. Remove the lower instrument panel trim on the driver's side.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the brake light switch.

3. Press the locking clip, then turn the brake light switch and remove it from the pedal bracket (see picture).

Installation



1. Before installing the brake light switch, extend the switch rod to its maximum length.

2. Press the brake pedal all the way down and lock it in this position. Insert the brake light switch into the bracket until it is secured with the mounting bracket. Slowly release the brake pedal to its original position. This will automatically adjust the brake light switch.

3. Connect the electrical connector to the brake light switch and check its operation. The switch should turn on the brake light bulbs located in the rear lights after the brake pedal has been moved 5 mm. If the switch does not work as required, it is faulty and must be replaced.

4. Install the driver's side lower instrument panel trim.
