Parking brake — general information (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 903)
The parking brake is a Duo-Servo system. The word "Duo" means that the braking efficiency is the same in both directions of disk rotation, the word "Servo" means that when braking, one shoe acts on the other. The parking brake shoes are not visible from the outside because they are located behind the brake disc, in the drum. The parking brake drive mechanism consists of a lever, an equalizer and drive levers in the rear wheels.
