Driving mode selection switch (Mercedes-Benz C-Class W202)

0
Driving mode selection switch

S – standard (switch move forward).

In the position of the selection lever D and 3, the car starts moving with low gas in 2nd gear. With high gas, the car starts moving in 1st gear.

E – economic mode (move the switch back to E).

When the lever is in position D or 3, the car also starts moving at full throttle in 2nd gear.

Shifting to higher or lower gears occurs at full throttle at low speeds and engine revs, as in position S.

Please note: The E program provides a quiet, comfortable and economical ride and makes driving on slippery winter roads easier.

Attention! If too much gas is selected, the E program is automatically switched off.

Caution! Do not exceed the maximum permissible speed values in individual gears (see markings on speedometer).

Attention! Switch back to another lever position (brake shift) only when the vehicle speed does not exceed the maximum speed allowed in this desired lever position. Exceeding the speed will damage the engine.

Warning! No brake switching is possible on slippery roads.
