Removal and installation
1. Unscrew the nuts securing the high-pressure pipes on the injector and distributor, holding the threaded inserts of the injectors from turning. When installing, do not exceed the tightening force to avoid loosening the tightening of the inserts during the next disassembly.
2. Remove the high pressure pipes. Do not twist or bend the pipes. After removing the pipelines, they must be protected from internal contamination. When installing, position the pipelines correctly, check the condition of the sealing cones, if there is any damage to the surface and/or constrictions, the pipelines must be replaced. Loosen the distributor mounting and do not tighten completely until the high pressure lines are secured.
3. Install in reverse order.
4. Check the fuel system for leaks by briefly running the engine.
Tightening torques for threaded connections
The nuts securing the high-pressure pipeline to the injector and distributor are tightened in two stages: 22 Nm + 25 Nm.
