Removing
1. Loosen the center bolt (19) and unscrew it while holding the crankshaft.
2. Bring the engine to a position of 15°after the TDC of the piston of the first cylinder.
3. Remove the chain tensioner with a wrench (156).
4. Disconnect the fuel injection lines.
5. Disconnect the vacuum tubes from the vacuum assembly and the vacuum valve. Disconnect the 2-pin connector from the actuator (Y22) electronic idle control.
6. Disconnect the wiring from the rail position sensor (L7) and from the drive (Y22).
7. Disconnect the injection tube from the ALDA assembly.
8. Disconnect the accelerator rod from the rails and springs.
9. Disconnect the vacuum control valve.
10. Remove the bolts (arrow). Remove the injection pump to the rear, secure the fuel injection timing regulator in place.
11. Remove the fuel thermostat and turn away bolts.
12. Check up correctness of installation of the piston of 1st cylinder in position 15°after TDC.
13. Unscrew the plug (11).
14. With a key (027) turn the injection pump shaft so that the distributor lug is visible in the hole and push the blocking bolt (023) all the way.
Installation
1. Remove the locking bolt (023) after installing the injection pump.
2. Install all removed items on the engine.
3. Check the start of fuel injection and, if necessary, adjust it.
4. Install the vacuum valve and adjust it.
