High pressure fuel pump (HPFP) installation details


1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Remove the compressed air supply distribution pipe.

3. Remove the fuel injection lines.

4. Remove the vacuum pump.

5. Install the centering sleeve (022).

6. Loosen the central bolt (40/3).

7. Bring the engine to the position 14° + 0.5° after TDC of the piston of the first cylinder (arrow).

8. Unscrew the central bolt (40/3).

9. Remove the chain tensioner.

10. Disconnect the fuel injection pump wiring connector (Y23/1).

11. Unscrew the engine wiring from the oil filter housing

12. Disconnect the wiring connector from the IFI electronic shut-off valve (Y1/1).

13. Disconnect the fuel lines (arrows) from the high-pressure fuel pump.

14. Unscrew bolts (10/3 and (10/1).

15. Loosen the bolt (30/1) of the fuel injection start adjustment device.

16. Remove the fuel injection pump (10).

17. Replace the sealing rings (10/4).

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
