Cars with gasoline engines.
The fuel system pressure remains even after the engine is turned off. Before opening the fuel system, the pressure must be released.
Warning! Ensure good ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are toxic. No open flames near the workplace! Fire hazard! The workplace must be equipped with a fire extinguisher!
Pressure relief
1. Remove the fuel filler cap and then screw it back on.
In workshops, the pressure in the system is released through the fuel distribution line nipple. The sequence of actions in this case is as follows:
2. Unscrew cap 1 from the fitting (see illustration).

3. Connect a hose with a valve, for example, KLANN-KL-0120-54 to the fuel distribution line nipple 2 (see illustration 2.2).
4. Open the connected valve and drain a small amount of fuel into a container. This will release the pressure in the fuel system.
5. Close the valve and screw the cap onto the fitting.
