Accelerator pedal stop — adjustment (Mercedes-Benz A-Class W168)

Note: There is no need to adjust the idle speed because it is adjusted automatically as soon as the pedal lever reaches the idle stop on the pedal position sensor.


1. Unlock stop 1 under the accelerator pedal by turning it to the left and slightly remove stop bolt 2 (see illustration).

2. Slowly depress the accelerator pedal until the lever on the pedal position sensor reaches the "Full Throttle" position.

3. Press the stop bolt 2 until it stops and fix it in this position by turning it to the right (see illustration 7.1).

4. Perform a check by slowly depressing the accelerator pedal to the stop. In this pedal position, the accelerator pedal sensor lever should be in contact with the stop 1 (see illustration 7.1). Otherwise, repeat the adjustment.
