Vehicles with a diesel engine.
The fuel pump is mounted on the front end of the cylinder head cover and is driven by the camshaft.
Removing
1. Disconnect the fuel shutoff solenoid valve, see relevant chapter.
2. Unscrew bolts of fastening and remove an arm of the valve of a cut-off of fuel.
3. Disconnect the supply hose 1 together with the O-ring (see illustration). The hose is disconnected in the same way as from the fuel cut-off valve 4, see relevant chapter.
4. Unscrew the two bolts 3 fastening the fuel supply pump 2 with heads for a multi-sided socket wrench and remove the pump (see illustration 4.3).
Installation
5. Clean sealing surfaces.
6. Reinstall the fuel pump, replacing its old O-ring with a new one. Make sure that the pump grip is on the camshaft.
7. Screw in both pump mounting bolts and tighten them to 9 Nm.
Attention! When installing a new fuel pump, fill it with clean diesel fuel and rotate the pump several times.
8. Connect the fuel line by installing a new o-ring and make sure it is firmly seated by pushing it back and forth.
9. Install the fuel cut-off valve bracket into place in the groove on the fuel feed pump and secure with bolts.
10. Reinstall the fuel shutoff solenoid valve.
