Removal and installation



1. Remove the injector.

2. Install protective caps (4, 5) on the injector nozzle and fuel system fitting to protect against contamination and damage.

3. Clean the nozzle (1) with cleaning solution and blow dry. Cleaning in an ultrasonic bath is permitted.

4. Remove dirt from the high pressure fuel line connection (2) with a brass brush and blow it out with compressed air. Do not damage the surface of the injector nozzle.

5. Place the assembly device in a vice and clamp the nozzle (1) in it.

6. Unscrew the fitting (2) and washer (3), replace the fitting and washer.

7. Apply a thin coat of general purpose grease to the surface of the new nipple and washer and install into place.

8. Tighten the connection.

9. Mark the fitting in white. It is not allowed to replace the fitting a second time. If there are fuel leaks, replace the injector.

10. Install the nozzle.
