Start interlock device (engine start authorization system)



Turning on



The starter interlock device is activated when the key is removed from the ignition switch.

Shutdown



The start lock device turns off when you turn to the (2).

Anti-theft alarm system



When the anti-theft alarm is on, a light and sound alarm is triggered when the door is opened:
  • doors;
  • trunk lids/doors;
  • hood.

Turning on the anti-theft alarm system



- Lock the car using the button .

The anti-theft alarm system is activated after approximately 15 seconds. Indicator lamp 1 in the switch flashes.

Disabling the anti-theft alarm system



- Open the car using the button .

The anti-theft alarm system is disabled.



If during 40if no door or lid/door of the car is opened for several seconds after the car is unlocked, the car will automatically lock again.

The alarm is triggered if the car was locked with the key and unlocked from the inside.

Turning off the alarm



With the help of a key

- Insert the key into the ignition switch. At this point the alarm will turn off.

Anti-tow device



If the vehicle's tilt changes while the tow-away protection device is engaged, an audible alarm is triggered.

The towing protection alarm is triggered, for example, when the vehicle is lifted from one side

Activating the tow protection device



If you lock your vehicle, the tow-away protection device will automatically turn on after approximately 30seconds.

If you unlock your vehicle, the tow-away protection device is automatically deactivated.

Disabling the tow-away protection device during transport



When transporting or loading your vehicle, turn off the tow-away protection device. This way you will prevent false alarms.

The button is located in the ceiling control panel.

Caution: If the ignition key is in position 2, the towing protection device cannot be switched off.


- Click on the button 1.

Control LED 2 on the button lights up briefly.

- Lock the car with the key.

The tow-away protection device remains disabled until you lock your vehicle again.

Interior protection device



The sound and light alarm is triggered if your vehicle is locked and:
  • someone breaks the side windows of your car and reaches into the interior;
  • someone reaches into your car through the open side windows.

The button is located in the ceiling control panel.

Enabling interior protection



- Close:
  • side windows;
  • lift and slide roof hatch;
  • panoramic sliding roof.

As long as the sliding/tilting sunroof or panoramic sliding roof is open, interior protection cannot be activated.



- Lock your car with the key.

The interior protection device is activated in approximately 30seconds.

Do not leave any objects (for example, talismans or other pendants) suspended from the interior rear-view mirror or from handles on the ceiling of the passenger compartment. This way you will prevent false alarms.

Disabling the interior protection device



If there are people or animals left in the locked vehicle, the interior protection device should be turned off. This way you will prevent false alarms.

Turn the key in the ignition switch to the position 0or 1, or remove the key.

Click on the button 2. The control LED on the button flashes briefly

The interior protection device remains disabled until you lock your vehicle again.
