Engage first gear or reverse gear.
Turn the key in the ignition switch to the position 0 and extract it.
The start interlock device is enabled.

Move the automatic transmission control lever to the position R.
Turn the key in the ignition switch to the position 0 and extract it.
The start interlock device is enabled.
Caution: On steep slopes, turn the front wheels toward the edge of the pavement.

Turn the steering wheel until the steering wheel lock mechanism locks it.
Note: Removing the key from the ignition switch of a vehicle with an automatic transmission is only possible if the gear selector lever is in the position R and the brake pedal is not pressed.

Pressing the lock button
on the remote control causes the door lock buttons to drop down. The direction indicators will flash three times. The doors, tailgate/boot lid and fuel filler flap are also locked.
