Service brake system


When you turn the key in the ignition switch to position 2, the brake indicator light on the instrument panel comes on. It should go out when the engine is running. When it lights up while driving, it indicates that the brake fluid level has dropped below the norm and/or the brake linings are at their maximum wear limit.

The handbrake lever is located between the driver and front passenger seats.

Attention! On long and steep descents, relieve the brakes by using the engine braking action; to do this, engage a lower gear.


If you have been driving for a long time without braking in heavy rain, there may be some delay when you first brake and you will have to press your foot harder on the brake. Therefore, from time to time, lightly press the service brake pedal while maintaining a safe distance from the vehicles in front. To prevent corrosion after driving on wet roads, especially if they have been sprayed with de-icing agent, press the brakes hard before parking the vehicle. Heating dries the brake discs.
