1. Battery charging system malfunction indicator light,
2. Engine oil pressure warning light
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Set the gear shift lever to the "N" position (automatic transmission selector lever to the "P" or "N" position).
3. Depress the clutch.
4. Do not press the accelerator pedal.
5. Turn the ignition key all the way to the right.

6. Release the key once the engine starts running.
Diesel Engine Cars
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Set the gear shift lever to the "N" position (the automatic transmission selector lever to the "P" or "N" position).
3. Depress the clutch.
4. Turn the ignition key to position 2; the heating indicator light comes on. After the heating indicator light goes out, turn the key all the way to the right.

When the engine is warm, the heating indicator light comes on only for a short time - you can start the engine immediately.
