The ABD system provides the ability to start or accelerate on smooth and slippery ground. The spinning wheel is braked in order to increase the transmitted torque to the wheel, the tire of which has traction. During the regulation process, the engine power should be slightly increased by depressing the accelerator pedal. The ABD system operates at a speed of up to 40 km/h. Activation of the ABD system is indicated by rapid flashing of the ABD system warning light on the instrument panel.
At speeds over 40 km/h, a slipping drive wheel (e.g. on ice) indicated by flashing signal light. When the key is turned in the steering wheel lock to position 2 to check the operation, the ABD warning light on the instrument panel lights up. It goes out after about 2 seconds.
