If the Vito is equipped with air suspension with electronic ride height control (ENR), then the car, regardless of the state of the load acting on the rear axle, maintains a certain ground clearance.
There is a signal light on the instrument panel to indicate the operability and operational status.
When the ignition key is turned to position 2, the ENR warning light comes on:
- within 2 seconds to check the functionality;
- continuous burning when the ENR system is deactivated and in the event of a malfunction of the ENR system (in the event of a malfunction, the warning light also comes on when the ignition key is turned to position O);
- rapid flashing with a significant underestimation or overestimation of the vehicle clearance level (altitude alarm);
- slow flashing when pressing rear up/down switch (manual operation mode).
The ENR system switch, located in the middle of the instrument panel, can be used to turn off the ENR system, such as when changing wheels or lifting the vehicle.
Deactivating the ENR system:
- apply the parking brake and turn off the engine. Turn the ignition key to position 2, press the ENR switch from above for about 2 seconds, the warning light should be on;
- remove the key from the ignition. With the sliding door and tailgate closed, the display goes out after about 5 minutes, but the ENR system remains deactivated.
Reactivating the ENR system:
- start the engine;
- press the ENR system switch on top for about 2 seconds;
- the signal light should go out.
The ENR system is also re-activated if the vehicle is moving faster than 6 km/h.
Altitude indicator
The rapid flashing of the ENR warning light indicates a significant understatement or overestimation of the vehicle's ride height. The ENR system provides the shortest clearance adaptation. After the adaptation of the clearance, the flashing stops. When driving with low and high ground clearance, the comfort of the suspension is limited, which can, for example, lead to damage to the vehicle when driving over obstacles.
Raising or lowering the rear of the body manually (manual operation, special equipment elements)
The rear end of the vehicle can be lowered or raised using the lift/lower switch located in the right tailgate portal.
Activating manual mode:
- apply the parking brake and turn off the engine;
- open the tailgate or sliding door;
- press the up/down switch for about 2 seconds up or down. The ENR system warning light flashes slowly as if performing a function check.
"lowering" - the lift-lower switch must be pressed from below until the required ground clearance is reached.
"Climb" - the lift-lower switch must be pressed from above until the required ground clearance is reached.
If the vehicle's ground clearance is below normal ground clearance, the rear of the vehicle will automatically raise to normal ground clearance if the up/down key switch is held up for more than 2 seconds. Pressing the lift/lower key switch again or pressing the ENR system switch on the instrument panel will immediately abort the automatic lifting process.
Deactivate manual mode.
- start the engine,
- press the ENR system switch for about 2 seconds. The signal light must go out.
Manual mode is also deactivated if the vehicle is moving faster than 6 km/h.
