Electronic Ride Height Regulation (ENR)


If the Vito is equipped with air suspension with electronic ground clearance regulation (ENR), the vehicle maintains a certain ground clearance regardless of the load condition acting on the rear axle.

To indicate the operability and operational status, there is a signal lamp on the instrument panel.

When the ignition key is turned to position 2, the ENR system indicator light comes on:
  • for 2 seconds to check functionality;
  • continuous burning when the ENR system is deactivated and when a fault occurs in the ENR system (if a malfunction occurs, the indicator light also lights up when the ignition key is turned to position O);
  • rapid blinking when the vehicle's ground clearance is significantly lowered or raised(altitude indicator);
  • slow flashing when pressing the up/down switch in the rear compartment (manual mode of operation).

Using the ENR system switch located in the middle of the instrument panel, the ENR system can be switched off, as required, for example, when changing wheels or when raising the vehicle.

Deactivating the ENR system:
  • apply the parking brake and turn off the engine. Turn the ignition key to position 2, press the ENR system switch from above for approximately 2 seconds, the indicator light should light up;
  • remove the key from the ignition. When the sliding door and the tailgate are closed, the indicator goes out after approximately 5 minutes, but the ENR system remains deactivated.

Reactivating the ENR system:
  • start the engine;
  • press the ENR system switch on top for about 2 seconds;
  • the indicator light should go out.

The ENR system is also reactivated if the vehicle is driven at speeds above 6 km/h.

Altitude indicator



Rapid flashing of the ENR system indicator light indicates that the vehicle's ground clearance is significantly too low or too high. The ENR system ensures the shortest ground clearance adaptation. After the clearance has been adapted, the flashing stops. When driving a car with a low or high ground clearance, the comfort of the suspension is limited, which can, for example, lead to damage to the car when driving over obstacles.

The rear of the vehicle can be raised or lowered using the lift-lower switch located in the right-hand portal of the luggage compartment door.



Activating manual operation mode:
  • apply the parking brake and turn off the engine;
  • open the tailgate or sliding door;
  • press the up/down switch for approximately 2 seconds from the top or bottom. The ENR system indicator light flashes slowly as if performing a function check.

"Lowering" - the lift-lower switch must be pressed from below until the required ground clearance is reached.

"Lift" - the lift-lower switch must be pressed from above until the required ground clearance is reached.

If the vehicle's ground clearance is lower than the normal ground clearance, the rear of the vehicle will automatically raise to the normal ground clearance if the up/down key switch is pressed at the top for more than 2 seconds. Pressing the up/down key switch again or pressing the ENR switch on the instrument panel will immediately stop the automatic raising process.

Deactivating manual operation mode.
  • start the engine,
  • press the ENR system switch for approximately 2 seconds. The indicator light should go out.

Manual mode is also deactivated if the vehicle is moving at a speed exceeding 6 km/h.
