21.1. Front crankshaft oil seal



Removal



1. Remove the groove pulley 1 (figure 3.21a).

2. Secure the puller 3 with three screws (3.2 mm) 4 to the oil seal 2.

3. Remove oil seal 2.

4. Check the crankshaft surface for scoring or wear from the seal.

Installation



5. Install guide sleeve 5 on the crankshaft and push oil seal 2 along the guide sleeve.

6. Press seal 2 onto the oil pump. Planting depth: 1.5 mm.

7. Install groove pulley 1.

21.2. Rear crankshaft oil seal



Removal



1. Remove the flywheel 1 (figure 3.216).

2. Press out oil seal 2.

3. Check the flywheel surface for scoring or wear from the seal.

Installation



4. Install oil seal 2 into the timing belt cover and press it in.

5. Install flywheel 1.
