Removal
1. Remove pistons 4 (figure 3.17).
2. Remove piston rings 1, 2 and 3, starting from the top one.
3. Measure the clearances of piston rings 1 and 2.
4. Measure the gap between the ends of oil scraper ring 3.

Piston ring clearances:
- Upper compression ring: new - 0.35-0.55 mm, permissible wear - 1.0 mm.
- Lower compression ring: new - 0.40-0.60 mm, permissible wear - 1.0 mm.
- Oil scraper ring: new - 0.25-0.50 mm, permissible wear - 1.0 mm.
Installation
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
