Replacing valve stem seals (Mercedes-Benz Vario 814)

1. Remove the cylinder head.

2. Remove the valve springs.

3. Remove the 2 valve stem seals (figure 3.14).

4. Remove the gaskets 4.

5. Lubricate the valve stems 5 and 6 with engine oil.

6. Install sleeve 3 on the valve stem until it stops against the valve guide sleeve.

7. Install gasket 4.

8. Install the new oil seal 2 together with the bushing 1.

9. Remove bushing 3.

10. Install the valve springs and cylinder head.
