Removing
The location of the rubber fasteners of the air intake tube to the cylinder head
Intake manifold fasteners
A - intake manifold; B – bolts of fastening of an inlet collector to a head of the block of cylinders; C - pipe for the dipstick for measuring the oil level; D - gasket
1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.
2. Loosen the clamps and remove the air intake tube from the rubber mounts on the cylinder head cover. Disconnect the electrical connector from the engine intake air temperature sensor (see fig. The location of the rubber fasteners of the air intake tube to the cylinder head).
3. Remove the fuel injectors and fuel line.
4. Label and disconnect all vacuum hoses from the intake manifold.
5. Remove the wiring harness from the mounting brackets on the intake manifold.
6. Remove the engine oil dipstick, then unscrew the dipstick tube from the intake manifold (see fig. Intake manifold fasteners).
7. Gradually and sequentially unscrew the bolts securing the intake manifold to the cylinder head.
8. Loosen the clamps securing the two throttle body hoses to the underside of the intake manifold.
9. Remove the intake manifold from the cylinder head and separate it from the throttle body. Remove the pads.
10. Remove the plastic plugs, unscrew the bolts and remove the resonator from the intake manifold.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following points.
2. Clean the mating surfaces of the intake manifold and cylinder head.
3. Install new intake manifold gaskets.
4. Tighten the intake manifold-to-cylinder head bolts to the correct torque.
