2. Remove the main bearing caps.
3. Remove the crankshaft from the bed.
4. Remove the pistons with connecting rods as an assembly from the cylinder block.
5. Remove the circlips holding the piston pins in the pistons.
6. Remove the piston pins and separate the pistons and connecting rods.
Attention: connecting rods, connecting rod bearing caps must be installed correctly during assembly. Therefore, when disassembling the KShM, put marks on the connecting rods and on the connecting rod bearing caps. Also mark the correct position of the connecting rods 8 in the cylinder block.
Attention: on the new pistons, an arrow is applied on top, which, when the piston is correctly installed in the cylinder block, should be directed towards the timing drive. If old pistons are used in the repair, then mark the correct installation of the pistons before disassembly, since the arrow may not be visible on the old pistons (see fig. VN 2.087).
