2. Lubricate the main bearing cap bolts and tighten them to 55 Nm + 90°.
3. Measure the hole diameters in directions A, B, C (see fig. 2.68).

4. Turn off bolts of fastening of covers. Install the liners in the covers and tighten the mounting bolts to the previously specified torque (see fig.2.69). Don't scare the top and bottom earbuds.

5. Measure the inside diameter of the main bearing bore (see fig.2.70).

6. Turn off bolts of fastening of covers of radical bearings and take loose leaves.
7. Measure the diameter of the crankshaft main journal and determine the radial clearance in the main bearings (see fig.2.71).

Determination of radial clearance
Bore diameter with liners installed - Crankshaft journal diameter = Radial clearance in main bearings
The radial clearance can be adjusted by changing the caps.
