- check for damage and, if necessary, replace all power unit mounting parts, as well as all oil and fuel lines;
- check the condition of the clutch release bearing on the assembled power unit and replace it if necessary;
- do not install any removed parts of the engine onto the engine without securing the power unit to the chassis support elements and releasing the cable slings;
- attach the cardan shaft (see the relevant subsection);
- check the oil level in the engine and gearbox and top up if necessary. If the oil has been drained from the engine, then to completely refill it (both types of engines) you will need 9.5 liters of the company's recommended motor oil;
- before filling the cooling system, it is necessary to check that all drain plugs and taps are closed. The cooling system should be filled with antifreeze in the following volumes: 7 liters for a 2.3 liter engine and 7.5 liters for a 2.9 liter engine;
- tighten threaded fasteners taking into account the required tightening torques.
Note: To replace or remove the rubber mounts of the power unit and cross members (traverses), it is not necessary to remove the engine and gearbox from the vehicle.
