The arrangement of the air filter on the engine in volume of 2,3 l is shown in fig. 156 (in front on the left side of the engine compartment). Depending on the type of engine, the placement of the air intake pipes varies. On a turbocharged engine, the pipe is routed between the front of the engine and the air filter housing. The pipe is connected to the mass air flow sensor, which can also be removed.
The filter housing is fixed from below on rubber pads. When installing the filter housing, make sure that the pins shown by the arrows fit into the corresponding holes.

To replace the filter (pic. 169) open the clips on the sides of the filter housing cover, remove the cover and remove the filter.
Note. The air filter indicator shows the degree of contamination (red zone). When the red zone reaches 100%, the filter must be replaced.
