The location of the air filter on a 2.3L engine is shown in the figure 156 (in front on the left side of the engine compartment). Depending on the engine type, the placement of the air intake pipes varies. On a turbocharged engine, the hose runs between the front of the engine and the air cleaner housing. The pipe is connected to the mass air flow sensor, which can also be removed.
The filter housing is fixed at the bottom on rubber pads. When installing the filter housing, ensure that the pins shown by the arrows enter the corresponding holes.

To replace the filter (figure 169) you should open the clamps on the sides of the filter housing cover, remove the cover and take out the filter.
Note: The air filter indicator shows the degree of contamination of the air filter (red zone). When the red zone reaches 100%, the filter must be replaced.
