Removal and installation injectors (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 903)

The injectors are located under the intake manifold, so they are not visible. Removal and installation of injectors must be carried out in the following order:
  • remove the negative terminal from the battery;

  • remove the ones shown in the picture 156 air filter parts;

  • disconnect hose 2 (figure 157) crankcase ventilation;
  • disconnect the fuel line and the sealing plug of the fourth cylinder injector;
  • remove clamp 3;
  • use a spanner to loosen the nut securing the fuel line to the injector and carefully move it to the side. You can use an open-end wrench without allowing it to slip;
  • using a 27 mm socket wrench, unscrew the injector body, remove the gasket and the injector plate. Replace these parts during subsequent assembly;

Assembly is carried out in reverse order. Tighten the injectors with a torque of 70–90 N·m, and the fuel line fastening nuts with a torque of 10–20 N·m. When tightening the nuts, do not allow them to be damaged.
