- never disconnect the battery terminals or voltage regulator leads while the engine and, accordingly, the generator are running. Otherwise, power surges occur that can damage electronic devices;
- in no case should the output of the field winding of the generator and the connection wire connected to it come into contact with the "ground";
- do not mix up both voltage regulator wires under any circumstances;
- never connect the voltage regulator if it is connected to "ground" (its immediate failure is possible);
- never remove the generator without first disconnecting the battery (at a minimum, remove the negative terminal);
- when installing the battery, observe the polarity;
- never use a household electrical bulb as a test light (110 or 220 V). Use only a 12 V mains lamp;
- if the battery is being charged without being removed, disconnect both battery terminals. To eliminate the possibility of incorrectly connecting the wires to the battery terminals, they have different internal diameters.
Incorrect connection of wires leads to failure of the rectifier and voltage regulator, other electrical and electronic devices.
